Maybe Katy Perry will take new hubby Russell Brand‘s last name, but a whole slew of celebs and regular guys are actually opting to take their wives’ last names. Be it wanting to have the same surname as their spouse, or a distance from their own family, many men are tacking on their wives’ last name to their own.

Some of the celebs who have taken on this tradition are Jay-Z, who is rumored to have taken on Beyonce‘s last name, making his new moniker Shawn Knowles Carter, as well as actor Jay Mohr, who took his wife Nikki Cox‘s last name and is now Jay Cox Mohr.
